On May 22, Dow Polyurethanes, a unit of Dow, announced the opening of a new polyurethane plant in Maharashtra, India, adding production and technical capabilities that will further solidify Dow's investment in the region to provide customers in the region with high-quality polyurethane materials and custom solutions for growing markets such as consumer durables, infrastructure and automotive
.
This is a further expansion
of the company's strong network of more than 20 production, development and technical service sites in the EMEAI region.

In addition, Dow's India Technology Center (DITC), inaugurated in Navi Mumbai, India, houses a dedicated polyurethane application development lab that will accelerate innovation and collaboration
with customers in the region.

Jon Penrice, vice president of Dow Polyurethanes, said, "Dow's innovation and growth strategy is driven by helping our customers provide a competitive advantage and better meet the challenges
of tomorrow.
