BASF recently said it will expand production of Basonat-branded hardener products at its LudWigshafen plant to increase the company's global supply capacity for aliphatic isocyanate products, which is scheduled to be completed
by the end of 2017.
This product is mainly used in two-component polyurethane coating formulations
.
In 2014, BASF added this product capacity
at its Caojing plant in Shanghai.

According to Ulf Neidlein, Vice President of BASF's European Resins and Additives business, the global demand for Basonat hardener products has increased significantly over the past few years, which is why the company has made this new investment decision
