in Macheng, Hubei Province.
This is the largest assembly line for the production of methanol automobile fuel system in China, and the annual production capacity will reach 100,000 sets

According to reports, China Alcoholization "automobile gasoline, methanol dual fuel electronic injection system" will use two storage tanks for methanol and gasoline to store separately, and add a separate methanol electronic injection system
to the automobile engine.
After using the device, the car can burn methanol or gasoline alone, and can also mix gasoline and methanol in any proportion, and the system can automatically switch and select its combustion mode and fuel ratio, and increase the replacement rate of methanol to gasoline to 100%
under the condition of maintaining normal starting and running of the car.

According to Professor Cui Xincun, a member of the methanol vehicle pilot expert group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and an energy expert at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, "drinking" methanol by cars can not only reduce urban PM2.

At present, there are about 20,000 methanol vehicles in
Hubei Province.
The relevant person in charge of the Provincial Economic and Information Commission introduced that methanol additives and methanol fuel standards are currently being
studied and formulated.
