The research on 3,000 meters of underwater oil and gas production system was launched

A few days ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's project "Underwater Production System Design and Key Equipment R&D" undertaken by CNOOC's offshore oil project was officially launched

The implementation of this project will comprehensively improve the EPCI general contracting capacity of offshore oil engineering deep sea underwater engineering projects and break foreign monopoly

After the completion of the project, CNOOC will master the key technologies of the 3,000-meter underwater production system to truly meet the independent development needs
of domestic deep-sea oil and gas resources.
The underwater production system is more suitable for the development of deep-sea oil and gas fields, and can also rely on existing production facilities for development in the development of marginal oil and gas fields, reducing development costs, shortening the construction period and improving development efficiency

This project will systematically carry out the overall design and technology research of the underwater production system, as well as the research and development of key equipment and key parts such as submarine pipeline terminals, underwater manifolds, underwater valves, underwater separators, flexible span joints and deep-sea wet insulation materials, form a standard system for underwater oil and gas production systems, realize the industrialization of 1500 meters of underwater production system and key equipment downstream of underwater oil production trees, and finally master the design, manufacture and key equipment of 3000 meters of underwater production system.
