Milliken expands production site in Germany
Recently, Milliken announced that it is further expanding and increasing production at Zebra-chem's production
base in Germany.
According to reports, the expansion allows Milliken to increase the production capacity of the acquired Zebra-chem company's Batebentheim plant by 60%
by the end of the year.
Milliken will install new manufacturing equipment and hire more employees
at the renamed Birch I.
facility.
In addition, Milliken will build a new warehouse
called "Birch II" near the factory.
The plant will produce a wide range of blowing agents that can be applied to the foam thermoplastic production process
.
These blowing agents can be lightweight without compromising mechanical properties, while also providing better thermal and sound insulation for materials
such as PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene.
Processors can use these products
in both extrusion and injection molding foam processes.
