    Asahi Kasei began calculating the carbon footprint of high-performance resin products

    According to recent news from foreign media, Asahi Kasei (AsahiKASEI) and NTT DATA have jointly established a platform to grasp the greenhouse gas emissions of various grades of high-performance plastics as molding materials such as automotive parts and consumer electronics and calculate the carbon footprint (CFP)
    of products.

    Suitable high-performance plastic products are Leona TM, Tenac TM, Tenac-C TM, Xyron TM and ThermyleneR
    .
    The platform started in April 2022 and work on providing CFP data to customers will begin
    in May 2022.
