Western Australia Lithium will build a lithium processing plant in Western Australia Australian Kidman Resources lithium miner company recently said that it will cooperate with Chilean joint venture partner SQM Lithium to develop a lithium processing plant

in the Kwinana region of Western Australia.

After the company completes its project definitive feasibility study, it is expected that a formal investment decision
will be made by the end of 2018.
The full name of the joint venture is "Western Australia Lithium"
.
Construction of the plant is expected to begin next year and start production
in 2021.
The Western Australian Government has allocated approximately $4.
1 million to fund battery technology development efforts
in the state.
