PPG to acquire Whitford Coatings On
December 20, 2018, PPG announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement
to acquire Whitford.
Subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, the transaction is expected to close
in the first quarter of 2019.
The parties did not disclose the specific financial terms of
the transaction.

Michael McGarry, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PPG, said, "The acquisition of Walford Coatings will further expand our product lineup, strengthen our R&D capabilities, and enhance PPG's global capabilities in the growing industrial coatings market to create greater value
for our customers and shareholders.
