On January 12, Asim Jihad, a press officer at the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, said that Iraq believes that international oil prices will fall further considering
factors such as the lifting of the US ban on crude oil exports and Iran's return to the international oil market after sanctions are lifted.
Jihad noted that oil production is still high and Iraq has suffered
from it.
"Some countries are determined to keep oil production at high levels, resulting in low international oil prices, which harms all oil-producing countries
," he said.
There must be a consensus among oil-producing countries, both inside and outside OPEC
