Iraqi Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar said the country plans to expand its clean energy to 33 percent
by 2030.
According to Jabbar, the projects signed in the last few months and the new contracts planned by Arab countries will increase the total solar energy to almost 12,000 megawatts
by 2030.
The solar projects are all part of a 10-year blueprint recently approved by the cabinet to address the persistent post-war power supply gap that forced Iraq to rely heavily on energy imports, primarily neighboring Iran

with Saudi Arabia's Acwa Power, China Power and others.
