Iraq's electricity ministry announced Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with Jordan to build grid interconnection to address peak energy shortages

According to the Ministry of Electricity, "In addition to providing an economic feasibility study for the interconnection of electricity between Iraq and Jordan, the two sides discussed the most important technical and commercial issues

" The parties have found solutions to the obstacles that hinder the development of the work and have agreed to continue to cooperate
