On October 6, Iranian oil ministry officials said they would launch more than 50 new oil exploration and production projects in the next few years and were expected to sign the world's energy giants

Iran ranks fourth in the world in crude oil production, with a production capacity of 4 million barrels per day, second only to Saudi Arabia

Iran's chief negotiator at the Ministry of Oil, Said Mehdi Al-Husseini, made the figure
public at the "Oil and Money" forum in London on the same day.
Husseini said that when sanctions are lifted, Iran will embark on a "new chapter of cooperation"
with the international energy community.
Some of the new projects will be announced in Tehran in December, while others are scheduled to be launched
in London in February next year.
