Recently, South Korea's Lotte Chemical (Lotte Chemical) and GS Energy said that the two sides will jointly build a C4 fractionation complex plant and a bisphenol A complex plant in Yeosu, South Korea, with an investment of 800 billion won (about 679 million US dollar.
It is reported that the total capacity of the C4 fractionation unit will reach 210,000 tons/year, while the bisphenol A capacity will reach 200,000 tons/ye.
The two companies will form a joint venture (JV) in the second half of this year, tentatively named Lotte GS Chemical, in which Lotte holds 51% and GS Energy holds 4
Lotte Chemical said the joint venture is expected to generate 1 trillion won in annual sales, 100 billion won in operating profit, and create 7,700 jo.
