The reporter learned from the Bayannaoer Municipal Government in Inner Mongolia that the Hetao Basin in Inner Mongolia has recently obtained a high-yield oil flow of more than 300 cubic meters per day from self-spraying, further confirming that the local area has good petroleum geological conditions.
According to Cao Bin, director of the Geological Engineering Research Institute of the North China Oilfield Bayan Exploration and Development Branch of CNPC, they deployed the risk exploration well Linhua 1X well, which was drilled in Bayi Township, Linhe District, Bayannaoer City, began oil testing on October 20.
Drilling of this risk exploratory well started on December 4, 2019, and was completed on August 10, 2020.
It is understood that the successful exploration of this risky exploratory well has further increased the large-scale oil reserves in the Hetao Basin and strengthened the confidence in oil and gas exploration in the western region of Inner Mongolia.
Oil and gas exploration in the Hetao Basin began in the 1970s, and many drillings were launched successively without any breakthrough.
