Indonesia's geothermal power capacity is expected to increase by 95 MW
.
The geothermal director of the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Bureau of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said that as of last September, the installed capacity of PLTP in Indonesia was 1,948.

This installed capacity will be increased by the end of
this year.
"The plan is to add another 95 megawatts
in December," he said.

This extra capacity is said to come from two geothermal projects

First, the geothermal power plant of Lumut Balai Unit 1, developed by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energi, has a capacity of 55 MW
.
Secondly, the 40 MW Sorik Marapi geothermal power plant developed by PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power Generation
.
As a result, the country's geothermal power generation capacity will reach 2,043.
5 MW by the end of the year

Earlier, PGE President and General Manager said that the commissioning of PLTP Lumut Balai 1 is scheduled for October

"Comissioning needs to be synchronized
with PLN," he said.
