India's joint oil and gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan said a few days ago that India will usher in $300 billion in energy investment
in the next 10 years.
Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed this sentiment at the Indian Embassy last Saturday, while addressing
more than 250 Indian professionals, business leaders and community representatives working in the United Arab Emirates.
Dharmendra Pradhan said India has become the world's
third largest consumer of energy.
"India's consumption of primary energy is second only to the United States and China
.
However, the data shows that India is the country
with the lowest per capita energy consumption.
What does that mean? According to energy analysts, for every 100 rupees of energy sold by 2040, 33 rupees will be in India
.
”
He added, "Energy is an important element
for any developing country.
Energy has four pillars: it should be affordable, accessible, green and sustainable
