India's Minister of New and Renewable Energy Singh said recently that India's planned 600 MW floating solar complex in Madhya Pradesh is expected to be put into operation
    from 2022 to 2023.

The facility will be installed on the Omkareshwar dam on the Narmada River in Ganderwa region with a total investment of approximately $409 million
    .

Singh added that Madhya Pradesh Power Management will purchase 400 megawatts
    of the system's power generation.

A major feasibility study for the solar facility has been completed in partnership with the World Bank, which has agreed to finance
the project with the International Finance Corporation and the Power Grid Corporation.

A survey of the routing of the transmission system used to connect the generation equipment to the Khandwa substation will begin
    in January.
The local government also conducts tenders
for the environmental and social impacts of the study area.
