    State-run Coal India says it urgently needs to revisit its 1 billion tonne production plan
    following changes in environmental patterns and coal demand.
    The government earlier set a coal production target of 1 billion tonnes for Indian coal
    for FY2019-20.

    "Due to the consequences of the Paris climate agreement on climate change and changes in environmental patterns and coal demand, there is an urgent need to revisit the 1 billion tonne production plan

    The world's largest mining company said the Ministry of Coal is currently completing the ultimate goal of the coal industry in Vision 2030, taking into account the Ministry's views and scenarios
