India OVL, IOC and Gazprom sign agreement

According to sources from the Energy Economy on September 6, India’s overseas oil and gas flagship company ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL) and the country’s largest refiner Indian Petroleum Company (IOC) signed an oil and gas agreement with Gazprom on Friday.

OVL, an overseas subsidiary of the state-owned oil and gas company (ONGC), said on Twitter that it had signed a memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok

IOC also signed a similar memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the oil and gas field

Indian Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri led an official and commercial delegation to Russia to participate in the 6th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) summit in Vladivostok

Russia is the largest investment destination for Indian oil and gas companies

Russia is also the largest investor in India’s oil and gas industry
