India GAIL to start production of polypropylene production line

Recently, Natural Gas of India Limited (GAIL) announced that the company will put into operation two new polypropylene (PP) units by the second quarter of 2025, with a combined total capacity of 560,000 tons per ye.

In addition, the new PP line in Maharashtra has a 500,000 t/y propane dehydrogenation unit upstream that will supply propylene feedstock to the li.

GAIL currently operates a 200,000 t/y high-density polyethylene (HDPE) unit and two 230,000 t/y and 400,000 t/y linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE)/ HDPE flexible unit, and a 10,000-ton/year butene-1 production li.
