The Indian government on Thursday approved an agreement between India and France to strengthen technical cooperation
between the two sides in new and renewable energy.
According to the official statement, "The Government Cabinet has approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
between India and France on bilateral cooperation in technology in the field of new and renewable energy.
" The MoU was signed
on October 3, 2018.

India and France aim to establish the basis of cooperative institutional relationships to encourage and promote technological bilateral cooperation
on new and renewable energy issues on a mutually beneficial, equal and reciprocal basis.
The statement added that technical cooperation will include the establishment of joint research working groups, pilot projects, capacity building programs, study tours, case studies and sharing
of experience/expertise.
