According to the submarine cable map launched by market research firm TeleGeography in cooperation with Egypt Telecom, it is expected that global submarine cable investment will be worth more than $8 billion
in the next three years.
Submarine telecommunications facilities within Asia are expected to receive the most investment, with the launch of $1.

In 2020, the share of content providers in total capacity soared to 66%
from less than 10% before 2012.
"These companies alone have such an astonishing demand for data center traffic that they are driving project and route prioritization
of submarine cable systems.
Google alone has more than 15 investments in submarine cables worldwide," the official statement said
.
Speaking of maps, the agency worked with Egypt Telecom to visualize 464 global cables and 1,245 landing stations, including 428 active submarine cables and 36 planned submarine cables, as well as major future deployments
.
"The 2021 map illustrates that a market is experiencing more deployments
