On January 11, statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed that China's new energy vehicle production in December 2015 increased threefold year-on-year, reaching 99,800 units
.
The first six batches of domestically produced new energy vehicles included in the Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models Exempt from Vehicle Purchase Tax produced 91,800 units, accounting for 92%
of December production.
Among the new energy vehicles produced in December, pure electric passenger vehicles produced 25,700 units, up 114% year-on-year, plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles produced 10,500 units, up 2 times year-on-year, pure electric commercial vehicles produced 57,800 units, up six times year-on-year, and plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles produced 5,725 units, up 51%
year-on-year.
In 2015, a total of 379,000 new energy vehicles were produced, a fourfold
increase year-on-year.
Among them, the production of pure electric passenger vehicles was 142,800 units, a year-on-year increase of 3 times, the production of plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles was 63,600 units, a year-on-year increase of 3 times, the production of pure electric commercial vehicles was 147,900 units, a year-on-year increase of 8 times, and the production of plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles was 24,600 units, a year-on-year increase of 79%.
