On September 8, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released China's new energy vehicle production statistics
in August.
In August this year, China's new energy vehicle production reached 24,500 units, a year-on-year increase of nearly four times
.
Among them, the production of pure electric passenger cars was 9,175 units, a year-on-year increase of nearly 3 times, and the production of plug-in hybrid passenger cars was 6,778 units, a year-on-year increase of 3 times; Production of pure electric commercial vehicles increased 21 times year-on-year to 6,446 units, and production of plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles increased by 148%
year-on-year to 2,142 units.
The first four batches of NEV models exempted from vehicle purchase tax produced 21,600 units, accounting for 88%
of August production.
From January to August 2015, the cumulative production of new energy vehicles was 123,500 units, a threefold
increase year-on-year.
Among them, the production of pure electric passenger vehicles was 52,100 units, a year-on-year increase of 2 times, the production of plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles was 32,800 units, a year-on-year increase of 4 times, the production of pure electric commercial vehicles was 28,300 units, a year-on-year increase of 8 times, and the production of plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles was 10,200 units, a year-on-year increase of 96%.
