German solar developer Ib vogt GmbH has reportedly agreed to acquire a majority stake
in Asian-focused industry player Nv vogt Singapore Pte Ltd.
The target was established in 2012 by Ib vogt and India's APCA Power to develop, design, finance and build and operate solar power plants
in Southeast Asia, especially India, the Philippines and Europe.
According to Ib vogt, the acquisition is in line with the expansion of the Indian and Southeast Asian markets and broader globalization
within the industry.
The move will enable partners to better meet the needs
of the dynamic future markets of India and Asia "through the synergies generated".
Under the agreement, Nv vogt Singapore will operate
under the umbrella of the Ib vogt brand.
The acquisition is expected to close
in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The CEO of Ib Vogt noted, "This transaction will enable German companies to strengthen their market presence and gain access to new investment opportunities
