Hydrogen heavy trucks were put into industrial application for the first time in Ningbo

On November 28, news came out from the Sinopec Information Office that two hydrogen heavy trucks were recently put into industrial application in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province for the first time, becoming another hydrogen energy demonstration application
after the hydrogen refueling demonstration station and hydrogen energy bus.
This move further formed Sinopec's hydrogen energy industry chain demonstration site in East China around Zhenhai Refining
, the main application field.

After the completion of the demonstration site, the daily hydrogen supply capacity is designed to be reserved for 10 tons, realizing the application of "production, transmission, storage, addition and use" hydrogen energy integration industrial scenarios, helping China accelerate the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system
.

The hydrogen heavy trucks put into use this time have a total weight of 49 tons per vehicle and a total weight of 30 tons of cargo, which are mainly used to transport various chemical products
produced by Zhenhai Refining.
It uses hydrogen fuel cells powered by hydrogen to replace high-horsepower diesel engines, and water is the only emission

It is estimated that compared with diesel heavy trucks, each hydrogen heavy truck can reduce carbon emissions by at least 120 tons
per year.

Zhang Furong, manager of the business planning department of Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Industry, introduced that in terms of load and endurance, hydrogen fuel cells are more suitable for heavy trucks
with high loads.
A hydrogen heavy truck can be filled in just over half an hour, and it can last more than 700 kilometers after charging, which is more efficient
than pure electric vehicles.

It is reported that the comprehensive demonstration site of the hydrogen energy industry chain will integrate five major fields, including local hydrogen production, hydrogen energy storage and transportation, hydrogen fuel cell production, hydrogen refueling stations and hydrogen energy vehicles

At present, the first phase of the project - the first hydrogen refueling station in Ningbo has been completed, and 2 hydrogen energy buses have been put into use, with a total of 1998 kg
of hydrogen filled in the past year.
As the only continuously operating hydrogenation demonstration station in Ningbo, it can reduce carbon emissions by 1,875 tons per year at full load, which is equivalent to planting more than 100,000 trees per year
