According to a Reuters report on May 27th, fuel startup Hydra Energy said on Thursday that it has raised 15 million Canadian dollars ($12.
The latest financing comes from Just Business, headquartered in Emeryville, California, which focuses on sustainable investment, bringing Hydra's total financing to 22 million Canadian dollars.
Hydrogen produces water when it is burned and is considered a potential substitute for long-distance trucking, aviation, and shipping, all of which are major users of fossil fuels.
Hydra's hydrogen capture pilot project was carried out in cooperation with Chemtrade at a chemical plant in British Columbia.
The Delta, British Columbia-based company has road-tested modified trucks on commercial routes, covering more than 200,000 kilometers (124,275 miles).
