Graphene is a two-dimensional crystal
stripped from graphite material and composed of carbon atoms only one atom thick.
It is currently the thinnest and strongest material
in nature.
At the 2015 Mobile Intelligent Terminal Summit held recently, Li Changzhu, vice president of mobile phone product line of Huawei Device Company, revealed that graphene battery technology
may be commercially available in the second half of next year.
Li Changzhu said that at a seminar held in Japan before, Huawei has demonstrated "this technology using nano and graphene, which can make a 3,000 mAh battery fully charge 50% in 5 minutes.
"
This graphene battery technology may be commercially available
in the second half of next year.
However, there are still some security factors to consider
for this technology.
