Huawei Marine has confirmed that it has been awarded a new submarine cable business contract to build an MSC direct submarine cable connecting the Maldives and Sri Lanka to increase regional capacity and network diversity

According to reports, the MSC submarine cable system is equipped with four pairs of optical fibers and adopts Huawei's high-output titanium shell repeater, which can achieve a span of more than 130 kilometers
