Honeywell's Solstice family of products has helped reduce global emissions by 250 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent

On December 6, 2021, Honeywell announced that the low global warming potential (GWP) Solstice® family of refrigerants, blowing agents, propellants and solvents is widely used worldwide and has helped to reduce emissions by more than 250 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, equivalent to reducing the potential emissions of more than 52 million cars for a full year
.

Honeywell's breakthrough Solstice® hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) technology helps customers reduce their carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency without sacrificing end product performance

This series of products are widely used in supermarket refrigeration, vehicle air conditioners, foaming agents for thermal insulation materials, propellants for personal and household care products, and cleaning liquid solvents
.
Honeywell foresaw the need for lower GWP solutions more than a decade ago to help the world fight climate change, and has invested $1 billion in research and development and capacity expansion for this technology

Solstice® yf, an ultra-low GWP refrigerant for automotive air conditioning systems, is currently used in more than 100 million vehicles worldwide and is expected to grow to 125 million vehicles in the next few years

The GWP value of Solstice® N40 is about 60% lower than that of traditional hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants.
It is currently the most used refrigerant in the global supermarket industry and has the lowest GWP value as an alternative to 404A.
Widely recognized by users and used in more than 60,000 devices

Solstice® LBA is an ultra-low GWP liquid blowing agent suitable for a variety of rigid foam insulation applications including residential and commercial refrigeration and freezers, spray foam, cast-in-place insulation and metal insulation panels
