On May 11, Henkel announced the opening of its application center in Santa Clara, California, designed to support product development for the company's high-tech customers in the Silicon Valley ar.

"The current rate of technological progress is unprecedented," said Stefan de Diego, head of Henkel Electronics, Americas and Euro.

As a global leader in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings, Henkel has formulated thousands of materials that are critical to the form, function and reliability of modern living technolo.

The approximately $2 million investment includes assets such as dispensing robots, 3D printers, mechanical performance evaluation equipment, coating and jetting systems, and failure analysis capabiliti.

"Henkel's material innovations are a key contributor to technological development in this century, enabled by the company's enduring partnerships with many of the world's leading high-tech brands," concludes Stefan de Die.
