Recently, the invention patent of "a method for identifying high water consumption zone between injection and production wells" declared by Henan Oilfield Research Institute has been authorized
by the state.
At present, the flooding reservoir in the eastern part of Henan Oilfield has entered the late stage of ultra-high water cut development, with high water-to-oil ratio and high water-consumption zone development, resulting in low water injection utilization rate and high operating cost per ton of oil.
In order to solve this problem, the patent proposes an identification method for high water consumption zone between injection and production wells, and determines the development location of high water consumption zone by simulating the water flow rate and flow surface ratio of the section between injection wells, so as to provide a basis
for the development of the benefits of ultra-high water cut reservoirs.
It is reported that the invention patent has been applied to development units such as the V.
upper system of Shuanghe Oilfield, and the identification accuracy of high water-consuming zone has reached more than
70% after on-site verification.
In the next step, the institute will continue to adhere to the problem-oriented and demand-driven approach, continuously strengthen the research of key core technologies, and provide strong technical support
for Henan oilfield production.
