It is reported that in September 2017, Hebei Mobile began to deploy 5G network and remote driving projects in Xiong'an New Area, and in February 2018 to achieve 5G coverage of the test site in the new area, in this 5G remote driving test, the testers connected the vehicle simulation controller on the 5G core network side, issued control commands, and transmitted steering, acceleration and other commands to the remote vehicle through the 5G new air interface and the corresponding transmission line, and the module in the car received the signal and commanded the vehicle to complete the corresponding action

The low latency and large bandwidth of 5G networks are important guarantees
for long-range high-precision control and high-reliability driving.
It is revealed that Hebei Mobile will continue to promote the evolution of remote autonomous driving projects based on 5G-V2X, and will soon deploy a control vehicle model in the showroom of Xiong'an New Branch to realize remote high-definition video transmission and control remote vehicles through the model, so that drivers can feel road information more intuitively and directly control the car
