According to data released by the French government, from January to June this year, 42 wind farms across the country were connected to the grid to generate electricity, and the cumulative installed capacity of wind power in the country reached 13,998 megawatts

Of this, nearly two-thirds, or 9,200 MW, of installed capacity comes from wind farms
of 8-12 MW scale.
Geographically, most is located in mainland France, accounting for 13,596 MW, while the remaining 42 MW is located in overseas territories
.
By region, Hauts-de-France has the highest installed wind capacity at 3,494 MW, of which 109 MW was put into operation
in the first half of the year.
The Grand Est region added 68 MW and ranked second in cumulative installed capacity at 3,167 MW
.
The Île-de-France, Provence, Alpes, Côte d'Ivoire Azul, Corsica and Overseas sectors did not deploy any capacity
during the reporting period.
