Guangdong petrochemical refining and chemical integration project has made new progress! Fully enter the feeding and start trial production

On October 26, Nandu reporters learned that at 10:26 on the same day, PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Project (hereinafter referred to as "Guangdong Petrochemical Project") in Jieyang City successfully introduced crude oil, marking that the project has fully entered the stage
of feeding and trial production.
The project is currently the only refining base
in China that can fully process low-quality heavy oil.

According to reports, atmospheric vacuum distillation unit II is the leading device of Guangdong Petrochemical Project, with a design processing capacity of 10 million tons / year, and a design operation cycle of four years for a major repair
.
The device adopts high vacuum decompression and deep drawing technology to provide raw materials
for downstream continuous reforming, jet coal hydrogenation, diesel hydrogenation and other devices.
At the same time, the device adopts narrow point technology to optimize the heat exchange network, make full use of the waste heat of the device, and achieve the purpose of
reducing energy consumption.
Construction of the installation began in March 2020, lasted 27 months, and was handed over
on June 26, 2022.

In this feeding trial production, Guangdong Petrochemical Company will consider the factors of balancing materials, reducing costs, safety and green environmental protection in the whole process, and the atmospheric pressure reducing device II will be produced at 70% load for 10 days, processing a total of 199,920 tons of crude oil, and cooperating with other 6 sets of naphtha hydrogenation and other 6 sets of equipment started in the same batch to provide raw material reserves
for the subsequent plant to start the process and put into production.

Guangdong Petrochemical Project is the largest refining project with one-time investment by CNPC, and is currently the only refining base in China that can process all inferior heavy oil, which can increase the added value of products by 25% and reduce energy consumption by about
15% compared with refining and chemical enterprises of the same scale.
Located in a key position in the "coastal economic belt" of Guangdong Province, the project will increase the supply of synthetic resin products by 2.
5 million tons per year in South China alone, significantly reducing the external dependence of chemical raw materials for home appliances, electronics and other industries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
