The two companies are planning to start the production and supply of liquefied hydrogen by recovering the cold energy of liquefied natural gas.
A large-scale power station with an annual output of 10,000 tons of liquid hydrogen will supply liquid hydrogen to the downtown area of Seoul and the central region of the country in the future.
Hydrogen will be extracted from liquefied natural gas, converted into liquid hydrogen, and stored using the cold energy of liquefied natural gas.
The hydrogen production station is scheduled to be completed in December 2024.
In addition, the two companies decided to review the construction of hydrogen extraction facilities and the demonstration and commercialization of carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technology.
