Recently, Canada's largest vertically integrated solar energy company, Grasshopper Solar, announced that it will invest $80 million to build the Izuka solar power plant
in Koken, Setouchi, Japan.
With a capacity of 21.
6 MW, the PV project will consist of 65,455 solar panels and will generate 26,136 MWh of clean energy per year, reducing carbon emissions by 19,451 tons

The PV installation, which will be developed by Setouchi and its Japanese partners, will begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2018 and commercial operation
is expected in the third quarter of 2020.
