The new submarine cable system, Firmina, designed to connect North and South America, will connect Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and the United States, and is designed as 12 fiber-to-fiber trunks to improve access to Google services for South American users

It is reported that the manufacture of the system's cables and equipment will take place in 2021/2022 at SubCom's manufacturing campus in Newington (New Hampshire, USA), and the main laying installation operation is scheduled for
