According to a statement released by the company late Tuesday, tech giant Google has signed its first power purchase agreement
in Asia.
The company has a number of similar arrangements in Europe and the United States, but the agreement for Taiwan's 10MW project marks its first such deal
in an Asian market.
Google has signed a long-term agreement for a 10-megawatt capacity cluster
in a large project in Taiwan's Tainan City.
The facility will power
the company's local data center.
The array is installed high above existing commercial fishing ponds to maximize land
use.
