Google promises to include recycled plastic in all products by 2022

On the evening of August 5, according to Reuters, Google announced today that it will completely eliminate carbon emissions from product transportation by the end of next ye.

Analysts say Google's new commitment will further intensify "green" competition among tech companies, aimed at showing consumers and governments that they are curbing the environmental toll of expanding electroni.

Google's shipping-related carbon emissions fell 40 percent last year compared with 2017, largely due to a greater reliance on ships, Anna Meegan, director of sustainability for Google's devices and services division, said in an intervi.

Meegan said Google will offset the remaining emissions by purchasing carbon credi.

Meegan also admitted that Google's three-year-old hardware business is lagging behind rival Apple in some sustainable development effor.
