On December 8, Google's parent company Alphabet said it would deploy gigabit fiber network services
in Los Angeles and Chicago.

Google's Fiber service, which has 1,000Mbps internet access speeds, is now available
in places like Kansas City, Austin, Texas, and Provo, Utah.
As Google's parent company, Alphabet plans to deploy projects such as Google Gigabit Fiber to more places
in the future under the new corporate structure.
