The Directorate General of Trade Remedy (DGTR) has proposed imposing anti-dumping duties on imports of toluene diisocyanate (TDI) of specialty chemicals from several countries, including China

TDI is used to produce flexible foam applications including bedding, furniture, car seating and packaging

GNFC has two TDI plants with a total capacity of 64 billion tons per year (MTPA)

For the first six months of calendar year 2020, the company reported a net loss of Rs 650 crore in its chemical segment on revenue of Rs 882 crore, with TDI being the largest contributor
