Recently, GM and Honda announced an agreement to develop new advanced chemistries for battery components, including batteries and modules, to accelerate both companies' all-electric vehicle plans

GM and Honda have partnered to develop and produce next-generation batteries
The next-generation battery will offer higher energy density, smaller packages and faster charging capabilities, primarily for the North American market
.
Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate based on GM's next-generation battery system, which aims to allow Honda to source battery modules
from GM.
The cooperation will support the independent models
of the two companies.
Combined scale and global manufacturing efficiency will ultimately deliver greater value
to customers.

The two companies have established the industry's first joint venture
to produce advanced hydrogen fuel cell systems in 2020.
The integrated development team is working on more affordable commercial solutions
for fuel cell and hydrogen storage systems.

towards sustainability.
