    NPC (Taito-ku, Tokyo), which operates solar cell manufacturing and inspection equipment, announced on May 2 that it has completed
    a solar panel plant in Ghana that uses the company's supply line.

    The plant of Strategic Power Solutions in Ghana was built, with an annual capacity of 30MW of crystalline silicon-based

    The opening ceremony
    was held on March 31.
    The company plans to expand its production capacity
    in the future.

    Strategic Power Solutions is a subsidiary
    of Ghana's Strategic Security Systems International.

    Ghana has set a target of
    10 per cent of the country's total electricity generation from renewable sources by 2020.
    In order to achieve this goal, photovoltaic power generation is expected
    as a low-cost clean power source.
