German renewable energy developer Juwi AG will build the country's first wind + energy storage project in Brandenburg in the coming weeks, which has been acquired
by Hamburg-based renewable energy asset manager CEE Group.

6-megawatt Vestas V136 wind turbines and a 3-megawatt-hour battery storage facility

The project is located in Randowtal, 100 kilometers northeast of the capital Berlin
.
The project was one of
the winning bidders in the innovative tender of the Federal Network Agency in September 2020.
Installation of the wind turbines will begin in mid-November, commissioning is scheduled for January of the following year, while the storage facility will come online
after the wind farm start-up.
The electricity generated by the wind farm will be sold at a fixed price under a 10-year power purchase agreement with Mannheim-based MVV Trading GmbH, and will be rewarded
with a 20-year fixed market dividend.
