Sinopec News Network reported recently that the "Ordovician Karst Reservoir Description and Favorable Target Evaluation of the Southwest Daniudi Gas Field" project undertaken by the Sinopec Institute of Petroleum Geophysical Technology has successfully passed the acceptance of the expert review team.
The Ordovician gas reservoir in the southwest of Daniudi Gas Field is an important position for the North China Oil and Gas Branch to increase reserves and production.
Since the launch of the project, the research team has been closely following the development and production needs, and has gradually formed a series of key issues and difficulties based on the quantitative description of paleogeomorphology and dominant rocks in the development zone, such as rapid phase change, strong heterogeneity, and large coal seam interference.
In order to fully implement the new requirements of upstream sustainable development and high-quality development, the Institute of Geophysical Prospecting has given full play to the advantages of integration, constantly tackling key and difficult issues in Sinopec’s key exploration areas, adhering to high-quality geophysical prospecting work, and continuously improving the ability of oilfield companies to increase reserves and production.
