GE successfully acquires WMC wind turbines in the Netherlands

Recently, GM Renewable Energy Business Unit LM Wind Power announced plans to acquire the WMC wind turbine test facility in Wieringerwerf, the Netherlands, and officially completed the acquisition
on July 18, 2018.

The plant will provide rotor hub testing for new GE turbines and continues to provide blade and other testing, digital tools, research and other services
to the broader wind industry in the Netherlands and beyond.

LM Wind Power plans to expand and develop the facility
over time.
The current 23 employees consist of
highly qualified experts in composite materials and rotor blade testing.
All of this will be reserved to help grow the business
