    GE receives an order for 87 MW wind turbines in Morocco

    GE Renewable Energy said it has been awarded contracts for EDF RE, a unit of EDF, and Mitsui & Co, a unit of EDF, to supply equipment for Morocco's 87-megawatt Taza onshore wind farm

    2-85 onshore wind turbines for the project, installed near
    Tazar in northern Morocco.
    The project is part of Morocco's energy strategy, which aims to achieve 52%
    renewable electricity by 2030.

    The Taza project, which is expected to begin operations in early 2022, will provide electricity to 350,000 homes and save up to 200,000 tonnes of CO2
    .
