Recently, Singapore and German-owned developer GA Power plans to build two solar projects totaling up to 58 megawatts
in Vietnam's Hanoi province.
The two projects, wholly owned by GA Power, will have a capacity of 29MW, one in Cam Hung commune and the other in Son Quang commune, both of which have been approved
by Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).
It is understood that the selection of solar project sites is based on their proximity to grid connection points, power evacuation capacity, and local and regional long-term electricity demand
.
GA Power has in-house project development, EPC and O&M services and is currently evaluating project partners and suppliers to achieve financial and technical implementation
of the project by June 2019.
