Fujitsu Networks recently unveiled the A100 10G EPON OLT products
at the New Orleans Cable TV Show held from October 14 to 16.
The OLT complies with EPON's DOCSIS to provide the DPoE specification 1RU platform and is part of
Fujitsu's new 1FINITY decentralized optical communications series.
The Fujitsu A100 OLT has 8 downstream ports with XFP optical modules and 4 upstream ports
for 40G QSFP+ modules.
The A100's upstream aggregation feature helps reduce the need
for routing and unwinding traffic.
Compared to other rackmount platforms, the 1RU platform can better support applications such as 8:1 over-registration
.
To meet the demands of DPoE, the A100 also has built-in virtual routing capabilities, which can also be remotely configured as a server
according to demand.
The A100 10G EPON OLT product will be officially launched
in the first quarter of next year.
However, by next year, Fujitsu will start supplying
two major North American customers.
